Punta Prima - A beautiful coastal resort located in the southern Costa Blanca district of Orihuela Costa, Punta Prima is within easy reach of several fantastic beaches all with ‘blue flag’ status for cleanliness and safety. Punta Prima’s own beach is renowned for its fine, white sand and is within walking distance of all the main amenities of the town.

The famous palm trees of Punta Prima are lined up behind the beach and can be easily seen from the main N332 coastal road between Punta Prima and Torrevieja.

There are some great facilities available both in and around Punta Prima and these include the Go-Kart track near to the famous water tower, golf (there are 3 courses nearby and others within a short drive), water sports, fishing, sailing and tenpin bowling in the nearby town of Torrevieja. Don’t forget the Saturday market at Playa Flamenca or the huge Friday market in Torrevieja both super places to buy fresh, locally grown produce and other bargains, Also worth a mention is that Punta Prima comes alive on a Sunday morning when 2 competing car boot sales fight it out for the available custom.

Punta Prima enjoys a fabulous Mediterranean climate with mild winters and scorching summers, it is renowned as a very healthy place to live, boasting over three hundred sunny days each year and very infrequent rainfall. Winter temperatures rarely fall below 8 degrees Centigrade and the mean temperature for the year is around 20 degrees.

There is a decent hotel in Punta Prima (Torre Joven Hotel) and plenty of apartments and houses available for rent on a long or short term basis. Punta Prima is situated on the N332 coastal road between Torrevieja and Playa Flamenca and can be easily accessed from the AP-7 motorway (Salinas exit). Just down the road are the beautiful resorts of Cabo Roig and La Zenia.
